Romasha Nath, founder and CEO of Whitecube Business Events, came to us with one problem to solve at the beginning of this engagement. How can we build a platform to enable us to conduct core functionality for our users (e.g. virtual workshops, community-building, and membership benefits) while building our brand presence for the future. Knowing price, time, and creativity was at the heart of their challenges, we quickly presented them with a "No-Code" stack that set them up for success in the short-term and long-term.
The first thing our team thought about when architecting this game plan was not design, or animation, or user-experience. Our team was sorely focused on the functionality. What did we need to accomplish on the platform in order to give the best experience possible? If we can answer these questions, we can build an experience that sends users to the right "hot-zones."
How do we enable membership functionality seamlessly?
How do we couple a membership experience with eCommerce functionality?
How can we enable a Community offering within the basic and premium plans?
How can we enable Romasha and her team to take this on after the project is complete?
Looking at the hundreds of tools in No Code, we decided to go with the following tools:
Webflow for front-end design. This is a no brainer. Webflow will always be what we do. This is the front-end tool of the future.
Memberstack for subscription and membership functionality. Memberstack allowed us to easily integrate with Webflow while thinking about member-specific content, dynamic workflows, membership dashboards, upselling opportunities and being able to account for completely different benefits. The admin board for Romasha and her team also pushed us to use Memberstack for a seamless transition to her team.
Webflow eCommerce for one-off studio sessions. One of our biggest challenges was distinguishing how we can enable one-off events to users that want to test the sessions before becoming members. We used webflow's eCommerce and customizable checkout page to create CMS landing pages for each session to push users to an event page after their checkout experience.
Slack for community integration and involvement. Knowing that we wanted to provide a small offering for $5-15 for other members, Slack was a very easy way to integrate into our offering with Memberstack and Mailchimp. If any user signed up to any of the models (Community, Basic, or Premium), we had a very easy way to welcome them into the community and add their Slack invite into the welcome letter and opening dashboard home page.
Mailmchimp for email campaigns and newsletters. With mailchimps direct integration into Zapier, Memberstack, Webflow, and Zoom, it allowed us to target different audiences and place users into different buckets. This way, Romasha's team can push the right message to the right user at the right time. Automating easy tasks and thinking strategically about future goals and messaging.
Zapier for Marketing Automation. Zapier was such a great way to easily integrate all these tools back and forth, depending on the data flows or customer experiences we wanted to enable. When we were looking at all our options above, we wanted to make sure they had pre-built zaps so it was easy to manage in the future. Look.. Webhooks are gamechanging, but if we don't need to use them, that's a win for our clients to easily manage this moving forward.
From our selection, we took our creativity to the next level by doing what we do best. Trying to design outside the box and deliver an experience that can enable multiple users from various targets to get the information they need in one view. If you look at the way we designed our home page, we hit on a few user personas. The "in-n-out" user - What is this, when can I attend the next session, how can I get involved. The "this is interesting" user - How can I learn more about these workshops? What options do I have? What is a low barrier to entry to try this. The "I'm not convinced user - I want to learn everything about this company before I make any decision.
From the no-code architecture to branding to design to the implementation stage, we were extremely deliberate in our approach to enable all the pieces we needed to deliver a great platform and brand.
This platform was a great use case for No Code lovers and non-believers out there. We have the power to build some of the most robust experiences without breaking our timelines, budgets, and teams. Rethinking how we can deliver platforms for all businesses and industries is where our team excels.. and hey.. we think we design some pretty awesome websites too...

"I had the pleasure of connecting with the Shadow Creative Studios team when we were looking to launch our Business Events company. We were seeking a web design and digital expert. I was impressed by Shy's knowledge and creativity. He had an instant grasp for our business and was professional in laying out a comprehensive game plan.
He and the entire team at Shadow Creative Studios did an AMAZING job creating the branding, website, and technology architecture for our website. I learned about many new tech platforms through these discussions. I am impressed by Shy's ability to be both nurturing and directive with his team.
The end result is a wonderful website that will serve as an e-commerce and community platform for Whitecube Business Events LLC.
I wish Shy and his team the very best and look forward to several years of a mutually rewarding partnership with Shadow Creative Studios."
